Define "white" . 25% of Australians were born somewhere else and we seem to get along fine for the most part. Of course, we do have a few "redneck " equivalents.

@whowasthatmaskedman White = Of European/Mediterranean descent. In the US, Levantines and North Africans are considered White. Though this is changing as newer immigrants tend to be non-christian.

I really don't know.. We have a large migrant population from Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. While "whites" may make up the largest single group. they may well be outnumbered in total. It does seem to matter.@BayouBoudin
