Is it ever good form to gloat about someone's health problems.

There is a politician who has major health problems and is probably going to die. I don't like his politics. I came across today, a load of people gloating about his health problems and saying that his impending demise was 'karma'. It's just really distasteful, whatever your political views. Where is the humanity?

@PixieCutLover Dude, you are one who advocated terrorism and military coup. You literally said Tommy Robinson should bomb a courtroom and also said that the military should take over UK. You once told me that you were a classical liberal ffs 😆.

In what way are you not a fascist?

Just because I might not agree with someone does not mean I wish for their death.

Human death is generally a bad thing in my eyes, the only exceptions is when they're literally monsters with little to no value for human life (Y'know, the people who commit genocide, those kinda people)

Thanks for bringing it up. It's complicated, on one hand I see what you're saying. On the other there's a lot of Nazis and many other types I'm afraid I could live without if they had health problems. Like sex traffickers for instance, animal abusers and the preachers leading the witch hunts of children in Africa and other places.

Sometimes I wish they'd all just magically get an virus that only affected a$$holes and drop dead.

It's really disturbing because this kind of tribalism is just beyond the pale. A political opponent is now no longer a person. "I disagree with his politics, so now I will point and laugh as he dies."

It's chilling to see how far this stuff has gone. Particularly when many of these people are devout Christians.

@CountScrofula I agree but I'm not sure the alt right has much to do with Christianity. It's sentiments are vindictive and nihilistic. It's motivated by resentment and insecurity, not a God delusion.

@Burnley123 Oh absolutely, I just mean members on here specifically. The alt right will take Christians and atheists alike.

I think it’s a rotten thing to do.

I disagree with a lot of what he has said and done, but I’m remembering that nobody is exempt from the fear one must feel with a terminal diagnosis. Some things are too big and too bad to gloat about.

To "gloat" over someone's ill health or impending demise is so harsh, inhumane disgusting, and beneath the dignity of anyone, that i am appalled.Period.

If you’re talking about McCain, it’s disgusting.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@LyricalOne I am. I guess it was pretty obvious but I tried to generalise it. I actually hate his political views but I mean, come on...

@Burnley123 Don’t know how his family members deal with it. Scary how downright cruel people can be.
I agree with that.
It reminds me of John McCain in the US where someone approaching their demise is an easy joke.

Some jokes won’t be as easy when their children are incarcerated
