Why would a person not want a maid to work for them?

@Fernie Bwahahaha. I once had a girlfriend who got furious when I suggested that we get a bi-monthly cleaning service for some of the heavy duty stuff - "I don't want another woman in here doing my job!". I guess for some people all of that stuff is deeply connected to gender and family roles.

@QuixoticSoul set in stone? No, not anymore. I was referring to Wives who were shackled and had no choice but to be a maid..your friend chooses to run a house.
