How about farmers who take government aid? People who deduct mortgage interest? People who receive government pensions? People who work for defense contractors? All benefit from your tax dollars.

@Harmonium1923 Farmers get aid to stabilize markets and support US based industries. People who get government pensions worked for those pensions. Defense contractors are paid to support US military missions. These people produce. What do women on welfare produce, besides more parasites?

Farm aid is paid to people who aren’t working. Pensions are paid to people who aren’t working. I’m not arguing against them. Just the opposite. I’m saying they provide a safety net that keeps society function. Just like Social Security for the elderly and welfare payments for the destitute.

@Harmonium1923 Depends. Farm aid can be paid to farmers to not grow a particular crop in order to stabilize market prices.

@BayouBoudin Farmers are also paid not to plant, in order to keep those prices stable. Supply/demand. So they do nothing. Why pay them to do nothing?
