Was it a guy with an automatic rifle? That's where the real argument is.
SuicideBiProxy2 · 36-40, M
@MeisterAndrew No it was a pistol. An automatic riffle may have taken the shooter down faster. Though There might not have been enough room in the booth.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MeisterAndrew you mean like what only the cops/military have?
MeisterAndrew · 41-45, M
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MeisterAndrew not in my lifetime

@SuicideBiProxy2 Or if the shooter had one there could have been more casualties including the good samaritan. People think the debate is around guns but the truth is if you outlaw guns only the outlaws will have guns. The real issue is that ordinary citizens shouldn't even have access to autos and the 2nd amendment was never meant to apply to them.
SuicideBiProxy2 · 36-40, M
@MeisterAndrew Nevertheless, they are legal. There isn't a debate at all. There is the second Amendment and then people who cry. Then the tears dry up and the media focuses on a new tragedy. Guns are fun and useful.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MeisterAndrew it applies to every citizen
MeisterAndrew · 41-45, M
@SuicideBiProxy2 Yes there is a debate. Might not be one for yanks who can't recognise the difference between a gun and a high powered rifle but the rest of the world sees the real problem. These tragic shootings don't happen too often with regular pistols.
SuicideBiProxy2 · 36-40, M
@MeisterAndrew Blah Blah Blah. It's a reality show. There is a reason why the media here dropped coverage of the Texas shooting. Texans don't blame guns. They wanted another "March for Ratings", but it didn't work. The NRA doesn't own politicians. Americans like guns....incidentally, we don't like teenagers.

@MeisterAndrew and the violence in your country is higher per capita than here. How are those bloody stabbings?
MeisterAndrew · 41-45, M
@MasterLee General violence yes. The amount of mass murders don't come close however.
SuicideBiProxy2 · 36-40, M
@MeisterAndrew It's a big country. Sometimes people need to get got.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MeisterAndrew percentage. More people die in Britain in one day at the hands of doctors than the number of people killed in 'school shootings' here in the last 25 years.

If you plan to point fingers, try to know the facts. Just because CNN says it, doesn't make it so.
SuicideBiProxy2 · 36-40, M
@MasterLee Weren't we promised death panels?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@SuicideBiProxy2 we have them.
MeisterAndrew · 41-45, M
@SuicideBiProxy2 Right 🙄
@MasterLee A nonsensical comparison.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MeisterAndrew that's what we keep telling you
MeisterAndrew · 41-45, M
@MasterLee What do you keep telling?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MeisterAndrew facts. I realize you are fixated. Guns aren't the problem. They never were.
MeisterAndrew · 41-45, M
@MasterLee It stands to reason the easier it is to kill the more people will be killed. I never said guns were the main problem. Quite the opposite I said banning guns doesn't solve anything but at the same time you don't want to make it easier to kill more people. People can kill using axes as well but how many people in recent history were killed in axe attacks?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MeisterAndrew I don't think you should use the words reason or reasonable in your posts. Your posts are neither.
MeisterAndrew · 41-45, M
@MasterLee You can believe what you want but if you give people the means to kill more people they will do so.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MeisterAndrew
I googled axe attack UK...over 200 in 2017. More than we have in guns. Wow, also 19% of crime in the UK was violent and used weapons. Pretty bloody there.
MeisterAndrew · 41-45, M
@MasterLee Really? The number of mass shootings in 2017 were over one per day
http://www.newsweek.com/there-have-been-more-mass-shootings-days-2017-656681
This year alone there has been more than 100
