I had one and pulled it off, yikes, it hurt but didn't come back and it was on my neck same place, yeah a necklace chain would grab it. A natural healing book says that skin tags can indicate a problem with insulin resistance.

@cherokeepatti that book is correct.

@pentacorn I've seen people with a lot of them, I've only had one and no more. I know some foods I've given up may have been playing hell with my hormones, wheat and other grains (I ate almost all whole-grains), dairy, etc. Too many chemicals in our food supply these days.
pentacornF
@cherokeepatti the food supply has been damaged, for sure.

having one or two over time is probably not indicative of a serious problem, but yeah, those who are covered in them usually have a metabolic disorder, like type 2 diabetes.

@pentacorn I stopped eating cheese and most other dairy a few weeks ago and started my period, this is 13 years after menopause and it's the second time it's happened after stopping dairy....I won't go back to it...
pentacornF
@cherokeepatti are you serious right now? 13 years later? i'd get that checked, if i were you. no way i'd want to go back to menstruating. i'd be sucking on a block of cheese, if that's what it took to make it go away, lol...

@pentacorn There are 20 different hormones in cow dairy...I think it's the way my body is adjusting after I go cold turkey and quit. It's not like a heavy one and last winter spotted twice (2 months)...an adjustment I believe...I didn't know exactly what is was last year, wasn't eating dairy though. I'm also fasting every other day now.
pentacornF
@cherokeepatti it's not a period then. it's just your uterus shrinking down that much more after ditching hormone-laden dairy. it will stop if you don't go back on dairy and then quit again. i buy organic dairy and make it a very small part of my diet.

@pentacorn I have some organic yogurt i should eat.
cherokeepatti61-69, F
@pentacorn And I was kind of thinking the same thing as you said.
pentacornF
@cherokeepatti love organic yogurt. it's a superfood, unlike most dairy.
pentacornF
@cherokeepatti you're a smart one! :)

@pentacorn I wish I could buy all meat, eggs, etc. free-range and organic...get away from chemicals.
pentacornF
@cherokeepatti i wish the same... and i do buy most veg/fruit and all dairy organic. i'm part of a co-op, so pretty good prices.

@cherokeepatti considering I鈥檓 diabetic and was insulin resistant since I was 15 and only turned full blown diabetic a few years ago I would agree with your last statement on the original comment
