What disaster over the past 20 years have haunted you forever

Slightly over 20 years but the Pan Am 103 bombing. The plane flew over my town a couple of mins before the explosion. Occasionally i think what if?

The series of F-4 and F-5 tornadoes that have swept through my county and caused thousands of people to lose everything they owned...not to mention injuries and deaths.

I was only 7 when princess Diana died. I didn't even know who she was till her tragic death, but I remember feeling very sad at the time.

What haunts me are the mass deaths that flash across our screens for a day or so, then get overtaken by a celebrity (?) story. 9/11 being a notable exception of course
