Why do some websites allow their members to tease and bait each other?

Why don't they see that behaviour as trolling and clamp down on it?

Most sites like trolls because it makes people want to argue which means more hits to the site which means more ad-revenue.

@Bootsiebaby I agree. I don't like it either but I am sure gaining more hits to the site is part of it. I am sure this site allows adult content purely for the extra hits it generates too.

@Bootsiebaby I did the same thing with my settings. I am not against it but I have no interest in seeing it either. I know one small site that has 10 nasty trolls which pretty much run the entire site. They never boot them off because their trolling generates comments. I was told that by the management themselves. I don't know how that works on here but I would imagine it is the same.

@Bootsiebaby I don't know but I have been on many sites like this one and they all seem the same. A lot of people online are not very nice at all and I spend way too much time avoiding certain people and certain topics. In the ideal world no one should have to do that. I have no time for bullies.
