Why do some websites allow their members to tease and bait each other?

Why don't they see that behaviour as trolling and clamp down on it?

People would get sick of having to word everything in a way that they feel would appease a third party. It’s part of the online experience. Got to learn how to defend yourself.

@Bootsiebaby 1. Because many people come online to vent what they feel they can’t in RL. 2. Who’s ideal would we follow when judging that it isn’t how someone would talk to family or friends. We can’t assume that we all have the same sanity, morals, or values.

@Bootsiebaby I understand your perspective, however it’s based on a limited world view. Have you ever read the posts here? For many, this is just a place to vent. 😉

@Bootsiebaby A thing always becomes what people make it and rarely remains what it was intended to be. You could start another and lost everything out crystal clear and the same would happen. People are tired of having to pretend and impress distant friends and relatives on social media. Let the animals loose and this is what you get.

@Bootsiebaby Well, if they’re not too concerned and they run the site, then are you sure you have the right idea.
