I can and did. What people don't realize is that Drill instructors are some of the funniest people on the planet. Being yelled at wears thin after awhile(you get used to it) What really messes with your head is when they try to make you laugh and if you do that's when it REALLY hits the fan.

Nopers. I'd do that thing the Three Stooges do, waving my hand in his face, woo-woo-woo, then I'd poke him in the eyes and kick him in the nuts and move to Canada.

I have wondered that myself, watched some videos of young soldiers getting off a bus and lining up and being screamed at for one thing or another for over an hour by a Marine Sargent ... it was hard to stomach watching that video. My father had been a Sargent for 17 years in the military and was hard to be around (beside the fact that he was bipolar)...I have adrenal issues and am sure that kind of military stuff would have worn me down within a few months even when i was young.

they'd have to get down on their hands and knees :)
No. I'd cry. A lot.

Funniest movie ever made. Me and my Marine corps brothers would watch this and laugh our head off, then tell our own stories from Marine Corps boot camp.

been there done that..
I would actually enjoy boot camp because I enjoy the physical and mental challenge of being pushed more and more. I once even asked a police officer if he could get me hooked up with a boot camp; he told me to join the army instead!
