Thanks, but some experiences I could do without! Like the expression: "Everything happens for a reason." Wish I knew what that bloody reason could be! Sorry, not the reaction you expected. :-(
@Zoranna Yes, and that expression I’ve never believed. Most things have a direct or indirect cause—but otherwise life seems to be pretty random. 😏
It is to help us learn from our experiences, so we can have a better and happier life. So we can make the necessary changes that better our lives. We just have to be willing to learn. @Zoranna

@LadyGrace Sorry but I don't believe that crap. Some experiences really hurt, like a death in the family, or sap your confidence and self-esteem and make you damned well miserable, and please don't say c'est la vie! Can do without them thanks.
@Zoranna Yes indeed.

@bijouxbroussard Thanks Bijoux. 🤗

When real regret has no value, real pride, and with it, true self esteem, goes extinct.

@LadyGrace

Thank you for telling me about your experiences and I'm glad you found peace. My situation is completely different. I am not bitter, devastated maybe, and I have worked for most of my life, have my own home and haven't relied on anyone for anything materialistic. I am hurting and I am just very cynical about these cliched sayings although I don't doubt the motives of people who wish to share them, they mean well. I've used them myself when I thought someone needed them. A little hypocritical maybe but sometimes people need comfort and I'm more than willing to try and give that whatever way I can. They just don't help me.
I don't want to change the way I am, I like me and who I am, and certainly don't want or need religion in any way in my life. I was brought up Roman Catholic and have made my own decisions regarding that and am now an agnostic.
I am intelligent and a kind and thoughtful person, empathetic and compassionate and don't feel "stuck" at all but I am pragmatic and a realist. Not perfect by any means and I do have regrets but to simply put them down to experience is naive and unrealistic. Learn not to make the same mistakes again, sure, and always strive to be better but there are a hell of a lot of things that are beyond our control. Admit when you're wrong, definitely and I do and apologise. How others act can have a profound effect on people though and I cannot bear liars and dishonesty; arrogance, selfishness, conceit and rudeness; nor sanctimonious "holier than though" individuals who want to impart their beliefs on others. Nothing personal.
As for grief, whether because of a death or simply a loss of something very dear to one, everyone grieves in their own way and there are five stages of grief:

Disbelief, denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
and finally Acceptance

and they just have to run their course. Thank you for your comments.

@LadyGrace I wasn't criticising your beliefs at all, believe what you like. You call it sharing, I call it preaching and I'm entitled to my opinion too. I certainly don't mind if you won't write again given my "attitude" which you had already said earlier needed changing. Bye now.

@Gr8Guy1979 Thank you. I'm sorry this had to take place in your thread which you did post with the best of intentions and I detracted from that. :-( I notice LadyGrace has deleted all her comments or she has simply blocked me. Either way, I'm fine with it apart from the fact that it now appears as if my comments are directed at Bijouxbroussard which they certainly were not at all: They were all in response to LadyGrace and her religious propaganda. Each to their own. Have a good day, sincerely Zoranna.
