@NativeOregonian That is false. I like both but the true Ruben is corned beef. Pastrami with coleslaw is the Rachel. Though some use turkey and call it a Rachel now.

@MethDozer According to Katz's Deli in NYC, they invented the reuben and insists it's pastrami. When I lived in Delaware I had a coworker that was obsessed with Katz's and went there every weekend and would brag how good their reubens were.

@NativeOregonian Yet they didn't. The two oldest references to it are another Deli in NYC and a hotel in Omaha. But who cares really, there delicious and that's all that matters.
