What language is similar to English?

@xSharp I disagree:,I'm French and I'm still struggling with English. Spanish,italian and Portugese were far more easy to learn.

The Romans. It's a dialect of Latin along with Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Romanian, Occitan, Catalan and a few others.

Oh there's a shit load of loan words in english from both Latin (the Roman conquest) and again from the Norman conquest.

Actually, yes. The Normans were a mix of native French and Viking maruaders who settled there

@VSonMe how about roman-chinese? lol a lost legion supposedly started a town called "legen" in china, cool story behind it. they celebrate their roman heritage to this day. have their own arch and everything lol
