What's your saddest Holiday

And honestly it is all the time from just after Thanksgiving until Valentine’s Day. That time period every year is very tough for me. Come March things are better. 🖤

@DarkHeaven I hope spring is bringing you some better times. Holidays can be so hard.

@CountScrofula I’m just out of sorts this year. Can’t figure out exactly where I belong anymore.

@DarkHeaven I've had that feeling - maybe not as intensely but that kind of listlessness or lack of a sense of place can just infect everything. I wound up moving across the country on a whim to deal with it.

@CountScrofula I was in the hospital a very long time and it seems the world has passed me by. Trying to find my place now is hard.

@DarkHeaven Oh wow. May I ask how long in? My wife was in and out of the psych ward for extended periods of time last in and it was really hard for her to find her feet.

@CountScrofula 11 years. I went to the hospital on Valentine’s Day 2007 and have been out since the middle of last December. 🖤

@DarkHeaven O.O Oh my God! That's... wow. No wonder you're trying to find your place. That has to be so overwhelming.

@CountScrofula Didn’t even have smartphones before. I’m like a stranger in strange land. It’s weird.

@DarkHeaven Yeah, the world has changed so rapidly. You've got a place to stay and all that kind of stuff?

@CountScrofula Yeah. Just never got to deal through the wreckage of my life, I caused 11 years ago until now. It sort of didn’t matter in the bubble of the hospital, but it matters now. Its been challenging. 🖤

@DarkHeaven It's a challenge far beyond anything I've experienced. I'm confident you're up for it. You've been so kind and thoughtful to other people on this site who are hurting and that empathy will go a long way. I hope adjusting to the outside world goes well :)
