I don't believe them to be a scam, but I've never heard of anyone being referred to a chiropractor from their normal doctor; it's always to a physiotherapist.

the original premise of chiropractic is not valid

@terribleperson spinal subluxation therory as proposed by the "straights"
🤤 I have no idea what those words mean

@terribleperson lol
Straight chiropractors believe spinal “misalignment” can cause diseases etc... this is an old invalid theory... yet straights still purport it

So the initial premise of chiropractic (having its origin in bone setting) is invalid

“Mixer” chiropractors tend to align more with valid scientific methods and avoid (but not always) embarrassing fallacies upheld by the straights...

Hope that helps...

Not in my experience. I'm sure some are, but the good ones can work magic with back issues

To a degree
Some are. I had one who was great. Another who was terrible.

The good ones are excellent, the bad ones are scammers.

Pressure upon the nerves from misaligned bones can cause all manner of unusual symptoms, not just pain.

I am hesitant to have a chiropractor touch me, however I do have friends who swear by them.

My wife believes in it (sometimes). I tried for a month or so but thought it was silly.

I much prefer a massage every month or so.
