Why are people starting to not tip or tip really poorly?!
Like I’m taking you worked really hard did the best you could provided awesome customer service and then they give you either no tip or something pathetic?

I hate that. I make it a point to start my baseline at 18% and then it goes from there to anywhere in 20-21 for good service, 25 for great and 50-100 for exceptional service. During the Christmas time, I ensure I find atleast one student (who I assume is paying for college tuition thru the job) and give them a holiday giveaway (200-500 dollars).
The real issue in this Godforsaken system is the onus on tips to cover a living wage. That is the shit. I wish they moved to a salary based living wage guaranteed and then tips can be bonus on top of that. Works so well everywhere, but ofcourse USA has to be different.. shit but different.
