we are in a generation of cry babies ,
but unless they are kids I can advise to do better
I leave them be ,
The time to really teach them was from birth to age 8 ,
if they are in their teens or beyond ,little chance I can change them now .
If they are around me long ,they will see there are real things to cry about
and they don't have any .
We deal with people who have reasons to cry

There are a few serial whiners and every time I see a post by them, I'll think it.
But generally, if I am talking to someone and they have issues, I know it's just something they need to get out of their system. That kind of thought @ quit whining and get over it, doesn't happen. If it does on the rare occasion, I tell them to their face.

I usually don't. It takes a lot of whining from the same person to make me start thinking that. I know that it can sometimes take a while for someone to work through something, or get something out of their system, and I try to be patient. I know that I would appreciate the same from someone else, and I try to treat others the way I want to be treated.
