well everything has to start somewhere. new species arent going to mass evolve from a previous species.

@badapple I'm sorry, but that is precisely what happens new species or ride slowly over time from older species it does not necessarily mean they replace them sometimes an ancestral species and its descendants species can coexist. Consider the Primitive sharks, and their modern descendants, both still living.

We all of us, are descended from earlier similar anthropoid forms.
