I think Prince and the NPG was his best band

I also think if he'd started with them from the very beginning, he'd be greater than he was. I love they way they complimented his vocals, and sang the parts he couldn't sing well enough, and it also seemed like they 'filtered' out some of his bad material. And btw though I didn't find any bad music Prince's first two albums, I feel like the vocals could've sounded better

@agonyaunt Annoying, yes. More than half of the music he made wasn't so good. At all. Sounded horrible.

Overrated? Not at all. A lot of new listeners don't really like him because he's not a great vocalist, tbh. But I feel like he has lot of masterpieces, and also lots of "should've been amazing songs" that he just couldn't deliver well enough because of his voice.

@agonyaunt music isn't just vocals. And he didn't sound completely bad. In some songs that were a good fit he actually sounded amazing. Listen to 'insatiable' or 'the most beautiful girl in the world' (the two songs I think his falsetto sounded really amazing on, though the music video if the second us kind of weird)
