@Stark I gave someone a written warning at work today, and I'm thinking doing it on a Friday kind of ruined his weekend. Maybe I should've waited for next Monday, but then I ruin his whole work week. I hate being the bad guy, but it's part of management.

@SW-User ah, it doesn鈥檛 matter when you do it. He鈥檇 be bummed out either way, it鈥檚 just one of those situations where no matter what it鈥檚 not going to end happily. Him being bummed out is a good sign though, shows he cares and needed that wake up call. I鈥檓 sure he will no longer be a problem unless he does something immature like retaliate which is not under your control. You鈥檙e just doing your job 馃構

@english Well, she wasn't wrong. I was in fact doing what my boss expected me to do. It is one of my job responsibilities. It's life.
