What you think about the cheerleader concept in sports?

I find it very creepy seeing those girls dancing (actually jumping and throwing thir hands and legs aimlessly) weirdly with those flashy things in hand.

Perhaps cheerleading made sense in the days before large electronic boards and speakers to get the crowd pumped up.

@SW-User we don't even have those here mostly the crowds get pumped by themselves or bu whats going on on the pitch

@Footballstar Football however is nonstop, unlike every US sport with their TV time outs. Also, there's the fan clubs and tifo, plenty of engagement in the stands. Baseball and basketball are crowd snoozefests unless it's college, gridiron football comes closer but has too many breaks.
