Question: Does it matter which corner of a triangle is on top? If you take the same triangle and turn it so another corner is on top, does that count as another triangle?

If, indeed, that would count as another triangle, then I would have to say 54. If not, then it's 18.

@TeresaRudolph71 Unique triangles, up to rotation, flips, and translation.

@JoyfulSilence Well, if this also includes triangles that are upside down (with a straight edge on top), then I'm going to have to say 108. And that's my final answer.

Don't forget triangles moving through time!

@JoyfulSilence XD ! I know, I tend to overthink things, and that's probably what I'm doing right now. I guess I'll find out eventually.

@TeresaRudolph71 Thinking is awesome!

@JoyfulSilence Ooh, I just thought of something else. What about triangles with the straight edge on the right ◀ or on the left ▶ ? If we include those, that brings the number up to 216.

@TeresaRudolph71 You need to start drinking. Heavily!

@JoyfulSilence Haha! I've actually been told that before. 🥂

@JoyfulSilence Oh, that sounds good. By the way, it was a friend of mine in high school who told me that.

@RodneyTrotter Okay, so that was just me overthinking things. Oh well.
