Does it show genuine interest to comment on old posts, or is that creepy? And if old post comments are okay, is that only up to a point?

🤔 a dilemma I have had myself.
Recently had an informative conversation via post comments with someone. Looked up their profile and commented on more interesting posts. Hour later... blocked! So they clearly felt it was stalker like I suppose.
