What do you think about euthanasia?

@SW-User well debating isn't only for changing minds it to show off your ideas. you think theres a better solution so i would love to hear it.

@popmol Hospice care and mental health care combined. I worked for years with older people and they have some real down times when killing themselves not to be a burden seems to them, at that time, a good idea later they change their mind.
My dad had hospice care and my mother in law.
I think the depression that accompines a chronic illness or with the elder population gets ignored.

@SW-User well yes but often its excruciating isn't it? just sitting there for days longing for the littlest attention and waiting for family if any at all come.

well of course but theres not an endless time that can be put into them right?

@popmol There is a lot of pain management people are not aware of.
You can say that of middle aged people who kids rarely come to visit, but nobody advocates killing them, because they are healthy.
When we think of people in terms of cost rather than care, I really think that is sad.

@SW-User well yes but they can move. the elderly often can't move that well; my grandpa always rode his bike until he was like 85 but then 2 years later he had a hard time coming out of a chair. so he was sad he couldn't do anythign himself anymore but we lived close so we came by often but some others don't have that and are just things waiting to die in a hospital somewhere. not that i don't want them to live but its sad.
well i never looked at the cost though.

@popmol I have thought of all that like I said, and do understand the other side, but I just think we could try other solutions, that is my opinion.
