Sure and teenagers always listen to their parents all the time. Totally. Man, if I had an older cousin, uncle, aunt or something along those lines I might not have gotten into half the stupid and did I mention dangerous situations I did as a teen.

Idk, I'm a realist. This naivety about issues like this and teenagers is what causes so many otherwise good kids to get into trouble. I'm not stupid enough to believe my kids or my baby cousins, nieces, or nephews aren't going to do something simply because I or their parents said "no." I know there are a great number of teens on this site and I mean them no offense when I say this but they aren't known for being the brightest bulbs in the box. They do stupid shit. What state are you in? In Texas it is legal to drink with parent, legal guardian or spouse. If your with his parents yes. If not no. The fine is not worth or I will have to check but Texas was a class B misdomeiner and that can screw you both. I had to have a waiver to enlist for minor in possession of alcohol

But here, the reality is that providing alcohol to minors is also illegal, makes one look like a huge hypocrite if they're advising the minor not to break the law in general. And at least in my state, it's probably the dumbest $1000-$2000 fine and/or one year in jail anyone ever spends.
