What's the deal with society, amiright?

When did we stop caring about society? When did the issues of societal pressures and conformity become an undesirable topic? Our world still sucks, we suck at being a society!

Society, in practically every way imaginable, is flawed, while there at times the public eye is focused on an issue or two, practically everything else is overshadowed, to even bring up anything other than "current issues" is apparently incredulous. The problems that we so fervently opposed in the past are as present if not more than they were in their time!

I think the prime motivation behind anyone's concern for anything is fear & insecurity - fear of not doing & believing the same things as is conventionally expected of them, fearful towards the consequences of defying society. So practically everything that is done, & all the passion that resides there with it, is meaningless & powerless, for any affects that are achieved with fickle sentiments will fade just as quickly as they arrived.

You don't need to be passionate about the things contemporary culture is passionate about, particularly if your interest is inauthentic & passing, useful to nobody. There's a world of issues to be addressed, what will solve them is seldom false thought & compassion, but if you could care & be different yourself, if you could even simply stand independently, with integrity to your thoughts & ideology (that you deliberately decide upon), your independent acts would explain themselves, & perhaps you could help upset the conventional model of society & set up something anew in its place.
