What are the signs of cyber bullying/beef on the Internet?

I'm asking for a friend. She's feeling displaced and unwelcome in a forum she's taken part of (since last year). I've told her to leave said forum and find another where people send more positive energy, but she refuses to listen. Any advice?

@StevetheSleeve That depends. There are some places where she's 100% cool with others (and vice-versa). This forum I'm referring to has a shady vibe, though. So yeah... some places should be avoided at all costs.

@DiamondPrincess89 It just seems like everywhere you go, even the most benign places, some a-hole eventually pops up their head and spoils everything. I was on a research message board for a long time and even there people could get nasty occasionally.

@StevetheSleeve I agree. I'm in a handful of Writers clubs and Poetry clubs. Even one that promotes Afro-centric hairstyles and hair care tips... those people you've described will always exist (because I've seen both sides of the coin).

Too bad they're not trolls.
