I can 'make-do-and-mend' with a lot of things, but there are some things/most (let's be honest bobble !) where i fail miserably.

Not all things, but I was born on a farm so we were pretty much self-sufficient and learned to do a lot for ourselves.

@cherokeepatti Yes ! Farm life relies on a degree of capability as well as know-how.
I mean, if it don't get fixed, it won't get done will it ?

I've known folk who.....fix cars; make coffee tables; fully understand their heating systems and know when to replace thermostats and elements......and STILL find it fun !

Frustrates the life out of me !
