Why is my son still awake at 2:40 am?

@WeighedDown dim the lights, make sure he's not hungry, thirsty, or has to use the bathroom, and maybe rock him a little. Kids need to also feel secure to relax and sleep.

@Thingschange4444 it's is a late night every night, just some nights longer than others, he does not take naps during the day, his temper his out of control at times.

No worries. I never take anything personally on this site. Sleep deprivation makes me grumpy too. I've been grumpy for a few years now. I hope you can get him to go to sleep.
