We were flying to France last year. The whole way we could hear this boy shouting screaming and lashing out. I looked back the boy was about 8 and I figured he had a behavioural issue.
I noticed some people were getting real edgy. I went to the bathroom and looked at the mum she was sobbing as the boy was screaming. I bent down and gave her a hug and told her she was brilliant. The boy kinda stopped and soon relaxed into a slumber. I hugged her for a good 2 mins.. we said nothing more.. I could see and feel her trembling that she was at her wits. I passed her my phone number getting off the plane. We have been friends ever since. Her boy had a very strong case of autism and she is a single parent. It's nice to be nice and notice things can be hard on parents too.
