As a mom of all girls,this may happen to me one day and it's something I've given a lot of thought. Initially, I'd be angry because I make a point to be open and honest with my girls about everything. I will do everything in my power to make sure they are educated about contraception and all of the risks and responsibility that comes with sex. So I'd be angry because she should have known how to prevent it.
With that said, shit happens. No birth control method is 100% effective. So I'd get over it quickly. I'd make sure she knew her options. Abortion, adoption, or raising her child. From there I'd support her in whatever choice she made. She needs me to hold her hand and cry with her while she goes in for an abortion, I'm there. No questions asked. She decides adoption is what she wants, I'll be right there with her grilling potential parents and making sure she's respected and gets what she wants out of the arrangement. She wants to raise her child? I'll work my ass off to support them both so she can finish school and become the best mom she can be. Whatever she needs, she'll get nothing but love.
