There was another time when Bill was joking around at work and gave Elmer's hair a friendly tug and it came off in his hand, and Bill swore and hurled the wig across the room where it slithered to the floor and lay there like a dead weasel but my boss and I fled to our respective restrooms and were further agitated by the sound of the other one through the wall howling and banging on the pipes. But we didn't laugh in anybody's face.

Once my sister-in-law called me and sounded a little funny. Then she told me she'd been pulling the nail out of the wall that their Christmas tree was tied to and the head came off the nail and the hammer hit her in the mouth. I do not normally laugh when people fall or similar things, but when she said "So if you get a phone call and somebody says, "SDFLOIUEWR" it's me. I didn't sober up for 6 or 8 hours.
So, yes. Only it wasn't her face, it was a phone receiver. Back when phones had receivers.
