That’s unfortunate. Ultimately it’s about respecting boundaries, the same way it was when a straight male friend fell in love with a mutual friend who is a lesbian. He had to get over it. I certainly wasn’t encouraging him to see if he could “change her mind”. And to his credit, he wasn’t trying to.
