@meJess oh I'm not american if that's what you suggesting. But I'm sure it's a railway wagon! A truck is a non-articulating lorry. A lorry has a separate cargo area to the cab, ie not a van. Lorries can be articulated or non articulated.

@SW-User truck is derived fro the wheel mechanism used on railways. Artic or no I agree, there is no truck on the road, at least in English
