This may be a sleep deprivation induced wondering...but is it selfish to not donate your blood? (of course if your health allows it)

People always find it selfish when the rich to not donate to charity...because they have so much to spare...and are always getting more. Which is kind of the same story for healthy people with blood...we can all spare some...and it will be replaced....

Since understanding how useful they are for cancer patients I've felt more strongly about it. Out of iron at the moment though

@SW-User That is absolutely understandable. I donated because my mom needed a blood transfusion when she had a very troublesome birth with my youngest brother...because I'm glad that the person whom she had received blood from had donated

@antisocialbutterfly I will donate again as soon as I'm able - I've had an operation which should help

there is no shame in not donating if your health does not allow it.
