In that case being thirsty or hungry isn't a choice so people shouldn't have to pay for water and food. Whose going to pay for the employees that make pads and tampons then?

Exploiting?
Are you going to attack the shoe and clothing companies next? How about toilet paper and diaper manufacturers?
Hell, why stop there. Rant at the people who care for the sewers and do the garbage collecting. You have to pay them too.
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F
That's why I just let it flow. 🤷🏼
freeb · 61-69, M
Totally agree with you, they should be covered by all insurance companies with no copay. That stuff does cost a lot of money, it's really outrageous for one gender to have to pay out of pocket for something that is part of their very being, their very essence.
Randomlygenerated · 26-30, F
The same argument could be made for deodorant, soap, food, clothes, housing...
I agree that for women who truly cannot afford it, there should be provision made (same as for soap, food, etc).
But for the vast majority of women in the western world, an extra pound or two per month is nbd.
Someone has to pay for it, so it seems to me very reasonable that the people using the products pay for them.
Randomlygenerated · 26-30, F
So who should pay for it then? Men?
It's because it is essential to women that they pay for it. Why would you be exempted from paying for something because it is essential?
Deletedlol · 22-25, F
@Randomlygenerated Government funded.
Randomlygenerated · 26-30, F
@Deletedlol But the government can't magically print extra money. It comes from taxes, which comes from the people. So either men and women pay equally for women's products (via tax) or else just the women who are using them (and then they have autonomy over choosing whether to buy disposable pads, reusable, cups, etc).
The same reason why people have to pay for medicine?

Get a hysterectomy
Deletedlol · 22-25, F
@MrBrownstone I'm 16. Barley able to buy pads for my mother and I.
They are not exploiting woman at all. Womankind came from MAN- Eve- that is the rib of a man-so she would not be here if not for him. (unless one believes in Lilith) Do as women of many generations back ago did. Actually USE RAGS. Either burn then as some women in some countries do -or wash and reuse. The 20th century changed the way we teat our menstrual cycles forever- as in the 1800 there WERE NO PADS OR TAMPONS. Not even the belted ones that I used to have to use. Compared to those women and those of generations past before you sound a bit spoiled.
Deletedlol · 22-25, F
@Elandra77 Why belittle something because of how it is or was else where? That's ignorant. Also, what if people don't believe in Adam and Eve? Whats your bullshit response then?
@Deletedlol I'm sorry. I thought was talking to someone intelligent who may appreciate a bit of education of how women once lived. I was wrong. I was talking to a child. My mistake.
Deletedlol · 22-25, F
@Elandra77 This isn't the past. This is the present. Try living in it sometime.
Bean17 · 46-50, F
Pads and tampons are really costly! You know what’s also crazy? When I was in France I noticed a thing of pads cost like $2 whereas here in the States I gotta pay nearly $7 for the exact same product.🙄
Bean17 · 46-50, F
Yes I’m sure there’s a learning curve which would probably be uncomfortable during the process. I’d be willing to try it just to not have to buy stinkin pads anymore! I’m nearing the change of life point though so I don’t know if it’d be worth it to figure it out now.😅@Deletedlol
Deletedlol · 22-25, F
@Bean17 Well mine only begun a few years ago so I'd better invest lol

I get my pads from the dollar store. It saves a lot of money.
jackson55 · M
Who do you think should pay for them?
@Deletedlol Because that is as ridiculous as asking for women's hygiene products to be free, girl.
Deletedlol · 22-25, F
@PoetryNEmotion It's not in my control, it was not my choice to be born female, you being a guy makes more sense to your ignorance of the subject. Shits expensive.
@Deletedlol Just to let you know, I am a woman. You are not entitled to certain things for free because you were born female. You will learn that when you get older. You are female-accept that. Unless you change sexes. Life is expensive.
