How do you feel about the way schools often seek to control how girls dress

on the basis that it is just too distracting for the boys?

Personally i feel that objectifies young women and gives young men too little credit.
Just another example of women's bodies being considered offensive or inappropriate.

If you want to tell girls that they can't show their shoulders or belly or legs then you better make damn sure that the guys aren't allowed either.

Least from what I see, most guys at the high-school do wear a lot of jeans or t-shirts. I have never seen one show their shoulders(though for me, even if they did it's not a big deal) They tend to be more overall covered(least from what I see at the high-school).Women at the high-school tend to show more fashion variation and more skin(from what I see). So maybe the contrast between the two can make some uncomfortable, I don't know.
I consider a school environment to be a work environment, so I believe a dress code with some variation would fix it all.
