How do you feel about the way schools often seek to control how girls dress

on the basis that it is just too distracting for the boys?

Personally i feel that objectifies young women and gives young men too little credit.
Just another example of women's bodies being considered offensive or inappropriate.

If you want to tell girls that they can't show their shoulders or belly or legs then you better make damn sure that the guys aren't allowed either.

I think there is a fine line between dressing provocative and dressing decent. Some schools go overboard and set ridiculous rules like "Girls can't show their shoulders". Do I think schools should have a dress code in place? yea. When i was in high school, most of the issues were with boys wearing their pants too low and that too was a distraction because they couldn't go up and down the stairs that fast.

@Celine I'm pretty sure if schools didn't have that in place, some students would show up wearing that..lol.
