Sad, but yes. They still exist. Some people have only conditional love to offer, and some of the conditions are rather stringent. I always think of Harry Chapin's Cat's in the Cradle.

@GreensCornbreadYams you are the one in denial. Gays in the closet and homophobic are that way because they are ashamed of their feelings. Read all about it. It's all documented, by people who, after years of hiding, finally admitted that they were violently anti gay because they feared anyone learning of their own proclivities. As I said, so deep in the closet you can't even see the truth.
Personally, I don't care if you are or aren't. I don't care what you think of me. I'm just glad you aren't the father of a sensitive young man who is trying to find his way in the world. There'd be another dead teenager.
