I have to ask... why do elders hold a grudge?

now Mike ,not all old people hold grudges ,,I forgive pretty easy
but to be fair to some
When you have noting but time on your hands
at least its a conversation
telling people over and over about you reasons for not letting it go

Because they've gone through a lot in their life with different people and events and still hold resentment against things that happened centuries ago.
