No disrespect to Trump supporters, but I think a lot of his support is based on fear. The most successful leaders in US history have generally appealed to our hopes rather than our fears: FDR, JFK, MLK and on the right, Reagan. I hope no matter who wins our citizens look for what ties us together, rather than what divides.
