What is your favourite Beatles song?

@Wiseacre From their breakthrough year, and one of the most attractive and clever of their early songs. It goes bundling straight into the chorus. The little touches like the falsetto 'oooh!' are used just right It has a lovely positive feel to it. A well-deserved No.1 from one of the headline years of British pop.

@Zoranna 1963. They had their first No.2 in January of that year ('Please Please Me') and then a string of No.1s following that.

@Zoranna I can only remember the end of the Beatles as a pop fan. I remember the announcement of their splitting up (in the spring of 1970) around the time of the chart success of 'Let It Be'. Truth was, they hadn't played together for months by then. When they started, I was small, and I was kind of aware of them but you had to be living in a hole in the ground not to know about them from 1963 onwards.

@supersnipe I just loved their music and wasn't aware that they'd broken up being a "colonial" hehe I think their legacy speaks for itself though.
