Do you give to beggars ?

I seen a beggar today so gave her all my money, well what i had on me. I googled if it was right thing to do because of drug problems etc, the first few pages advise against it , i was shocked really.

some of these beggars make more than i do in a day.And i make a good wage.The are nothing more than actors.If you must give.Give them food or clothes,not money

@jammernichtful I give whatever I think they need. If I see they are approaching the DT's I'll buy them a bottle, if they say they are hungry I buy them food,clothes, sometimes cash if I can..it is NOT my place to judge how they spend it.
