Are there more advantages of being a male or being a female in today's society?

I think it's still very difficult for like women. They still have to be discriminated against and more like harrassed and stuff. We havent even reached equal pay yet which is really unfair.

I have been interning at a real estate investment company since the spring. My best mentors have been males. My biggest antagonists have been females. Sometimes it isn't the men who have been keeping us down. Women are quite good at that too.

That's a difficult one to assess. There are so many nuances. Not all men are equal, and neither are all women. There are behavioral and aesthetic components that create different classes of men and women, each with their own advantages over the other.

Then you have to consider whether you're looking at the total absolute number of advantages or rather the scope and magnitude of the advantages. After all, not all advantages are alike.

And even when you have quantitative data such as wage earnings, you have to understand that there are immeasurable factors that play into those findings even once all the measurable ones are accounted for.

I can't really give a definitive answer. Even when we're generalizing, both men and women enjoy plenty of advantages over the other, and that's in spite of what we may be ideologically predisposed to believing. There are also several disadvantages when comparing across groups, which is unfortunately what today's political climate seems focused on monopolizing in favor of their own tribe.

Everyone has it rough, but no one has the odds so stacked against them that they can't find a way to create a meaningful and worthwhile life for themselves

The Equal Pay Act was signed into law in 1963. There is no gender pay gap for like work.
It seems like men have to fight for their own rights everyday. Look at all the sexual harrassment charges that are going on all the time now. They are losing jobs, families anything they have worked for.

I am an adult female and I have a good life compared to men.

Men have it WAY harder.
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
@JimminyChristmas Woo hoo!!!! lol😁

@ravenwind43 I know there are women that agree with you, but you got it up there first.😁

If you find grade 3 to be difficult, what makes you think grade 6 is easier? If you think being a woman is so hard, What makes you think being A MAN is easier? All genders have problems but if I could switch, trust me, TRUST ME, I would soooo gladly take up your place as a woman and let you be A MAN.
It's easier for women
@MrBrownstone nice ,how did I miss that one 😉

I think if you really work for something, you'd eventually get it, REGARDLESS of gender. In my opinion, the path you take is irrelevant. The will is what matters.

Would you like a list of how things are stacked against men? I think I have one somewhere...
JimminyChristmas · 56-60, M
@Quizzical That list could, realistically, be quite long.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@JimminyChristmas It's fairly long, and doesn't include everything, just the main stuff really
SophieC · 31-35, F
I think there is still the male advantage I feel things are changing but very slowly

Hey, let's be honest. It's not entirely equal. Men have to inherently do any heavy lifting involved.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
I don’t have same pay as some of my co-workers. Has nothing to do with gender.
