@bijouxbroussard Oh I see. I was thinking more politically, like people living in the UK who weren't born there could wave, say, half Indian half British flags.

I think that's a really excellent idea, 'cause sometimes, at royal events, people tend to wave their national flags instead of the Union Jack and I think that's very rude.
@Roatlamb Yes, well, biracial, anyway. Her mother was recently interviewed, she’s a yoga teacher in Los Angeles. I’d love to know what that conversation was like when she told her mother she was marrying into the English royal family.

Nope - My great grandparents did not cross the Atlantic for me to wave the Union Jack. Sorry.

alright
Haven't we got to call it the union flag now, or some bollocks?
oneperson · 31-35, M
like I know
A Jack is a fabric sign on a ships bow or aft denoting its country of origin, popularised during the height of the British Empire, due to the current shaming and attributed notoriety of such a glorious endeavour, we're not allowed to mention it! Hence its now a flag. (Ive added this, to see if anyone will correct it as i have no real idea what the fk im talking about!).

@Diepere I'll change it to flag
