What if there's just nothing you can do to change it?

@SW-User There’s always something. Unless you’ve been kidnapped and are stuck chained to a wall, then probably not. But the majority of ordinary people can change their lives if they want to.

@TheDogfather Yeah probably the majority but what about the others?

@SW-User Without a specific example I can’t really comment on that.
Every single post written on social media isn’t going to be applicable to every single human being.

@TheDogfather Someone with an incurable disease that's making their life hell, for example. Someone who's a target for relentless bigotry (especially if it's instiutionalized), as another. Someone who has tried to change their situation, failed and despaired. Someone with severe depression to the point where having a shower is a monumental task. I can think of lots of things.

@SW-User Again, those are the minority and I just said that this post and many others aren’t intended to apply to every person.

@TheDogfather I just get told stuff like that (and also that I'm attention-seeking) when I'm in the middle of a genuine suicide crisis and I'm afraid it touched a nerve, I'm sorry

@SW-User No no don’t apologise at all. I wasn’t intending it to be aimed at an individual but the majority.
