What are your thought on "white privilege"?

It exists, as much as people who take it for granted deny it. It’s not so much about being treated with more respect by shopkeepers, businesses, law enforcement, realtors, bankers, employers, healthcare providers, schools, although that is often how it manifests itself. It’s about having the luxury of not having to feel like you represent everyone who looks like you, of knowing that statistically if you live in a Western country, whoever is in charge is more likely to relate to you than not. And you can comfortably say, “my race doesn’t define me” and mean it, because no one else (who matters) is defining you by it, either.
