if your in the u.s can you just go and move anywhere that you want or do you have to get a state i.d

if you're a citizen, you can move to any state whenever you want, but you usually have 30 days to change over your address/ID/Drivers license. (most people have drivers licenses, if you did have one for some reason, I suppose there'd be nothing to change, really)
