Yes! People are so obsessed with it. It's really annoying

zerofuks2give · 41-45, M
I don't understand all the hate against the game either, people are going outside and getting exercise, they are making friends, people with anxiety and depression are getting outside for the first time in who knows how long, families are spending time together, the list goes on and on. People have walked around with their noses in their phones like zombies for the longest time and nobody cared, But now everyone has a problem with it? I don't understand.

The Bandwagon effect is the phenomenon that people often do and believe things merely because many other people do and believe the same things. The effect is often called herd instinct. People tend to follow the crowd without examining the merits of a particular thing.

As more people come to believe in something, others "hop on the bandwagon" regardless of the underlying evidence. The tendency to follow the actions or beliefs of others can occur because individuals directly prefer to conform, or because individuals derive information from others.

meh. people everywhere overdo things all the time. there are far worse things they could be doing.

@Volfield, but that's the thing, people have always been getting into accidents because they were using their phone when they shouldn't have. And despite what the media wants you to believe, I highly doubt any more people have been in accidents because of Pokémon than because of Facebook or Twitter. It's only news now because it's trendy.
what's pokemon go?

Keeps Hillary off the tv.

Though it might be a fun hobby, the amount of accidents related to distracted or violent pokemon go players is beyond unreasonable.

I think all the good that has come from the pokemon app has far outweighed the bad

I don't even see anyone around town who seems to be playing it, so no.
Chained ,if their parents aren't watching them then that's on the parents not the game

@zerofuks2give I'm not condemning the app, the game is fun. The problem is clearly the fact the userbase has enough irresponsible members to turn a tool (phone) or fun app (pokemon go, twitter, etc...) into liabilities.

I'm really surprised they haven't taken into account the kind of problems it might create and didn't take steps such as disable access to the app near roads and other safety measures.

It's a fact
Zero it's a location-based reality mobile game .. so that's why people are getting into accidents. You have to be moving to play.. you search for things in your location.
Nun- yes kids, run into traffic and wonder off. Walk around streets with your nose in a cell phone not paying attention. Great idea!
SW-User
Yes it is. Anyone who steps off a cliff or stops traffic to get something that does not exist is crazy.
I like the idea ,it gets kids off their ass and outside getting some kind of exercise

no because its led to bodies being found mysteries solved and the police are using it to lure in criminals child predators rapists thieves etc.
It's not the kids.. it's the idiot adults who are causing accidents and trespassing. Just saw a video where the person rams in to another car.. while a policemen was right there because they were playing the game.
