Blocking someone simply because they disagree with you is childish, in my opinion, but there are non-childish reasons for blocking someone. Harassment, sending out unsolicited "adult" content, and extreme or persistent rudeness are all reasons for blocking someone that are not childish.

no you dont have to deal with somebody if you dont want to if somebody is trying to get on your nerves dont give them the time of day

I don't think it really matters. At least it doesn't to me. Some people are more difficult to get along with than others are. Those people don't bother me though. I almost always block people that don't contribute.

@Fernie I try to be polite on the internet as reflect in personal, I am here to mostly entertain people and possibly help them through tough times...If I follow them and they follow me I DM them just to ask like I have been doing on twitter...Why follow if they do not want to play?

DragonlingLucifer..I wish more people behaved the way you do. Not gonna happen. I really think that if we choose to be on the internet, it's pointless to worry about or ask why people do what we see as odd or abnormal. This particular site has many unpleasant people who often overshadow the people who are here for the reasons you are. We can't escape it. Why ask why? Unless they are bothering us...why care? Having the power to block unpleasant people is very necessary. In real life we could walk away from the unpleasantness...here, blocking IS walking.

Every kind of mindset is here...all concentrated behind a screen.If someone I don't know messages me with some ridiculous remark, invitation to PM them,etc., I WILL block them because that behavior is creepy...it's the behaviors that many of us block. Instantly.
